Beginning his professional career in his native Russia, Artemi Panarin went undrafted, making his NHL debut in 2015 after signing a two-year deal with Chicago. The Calder Memorial winner would then spend two seasons in Columbus. This photo-matched Blue Jackets jersey was worn by Panarin in 2017-18. “54” sizing is listed on the collar band, with Adidas and NHL crests over the reverse and front necklines respectively. Styled with a multi-coloured and textured Jackets team crest, “9” appears over the sleeves and verso in ventilated twill, with the NHL centennial crest sewn to the right sleeve. The team patch resides on the inside hem along with an example from MeiGray numbered “P00891”, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Blue Set 1 w/ NHL Centennial Patch" specimen. An LOA from the Blue Jackets will accompany, along with a game program from the 2017-18 season featuring Panarin on the cover.
Sporting moderate game-use, there are faint burns over each sleeve along with a cluster of four team repairs near the left elbow. Getty Image #862392370 (Oct 13, 2017) has been matched to the team repairs on the lower left sleeve, with the image showing the unrepaired holes before they were mended, while Getty Image #874362802 (Nov 10, 2017) has been matched to the small white lines on the lower edge of the "9" of the left sleeve, with both clearly showing on the Getty Image.
