Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

O-Pee-Chee’s 1975-76 issue leads chronologically here, with random pulls of the housed-in-a-binder ensemble revealing some sharp, crisp cards, along with intermittent touched corners. Creases are very few and far between, with EX-MT-or-better examples looking to dominate and checklists and team checklists unmarked. The well-centered Bobby Orr #100 card is EX-MT, while the last card, 396-Harold Snepsts RC is a notable condition exception with touches/dings at the four corners rendering it VG-EX. …..Meanwhile, an ’80-81 assembly is also a 396-card affair, with some of the key cards affected by far-from-perfect centering, as shown. Otherwise, the Mark Messier rookie card is EX+ with a jagged left edge, while the Ray Bourque rookie EX-MT. EX-MT appears to be the average with, again, unmarked checklists and team checklists to report. An obvious one-inch crease in the Mike Gartner RC is to note, with the rookie card lineup totaling 70 and also including those of Liut, Vaive, Goulet, Craig, Propp, Secord, Langway, Peeters, Hartsburg, Ruff, Foligno, Marsh, McCrimmon, Kent Nilsson and still more.
