Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Appearing for seven different NHL clubs throughout his career followed by seasons in the NLA with the ZSC Lions, Marc-Andre Bergeron was especially gifted at working the powerplay, with a good percentage of the defenceman’s points earned with the man advantage. This photo-matched New York Islanders jersey was worn by the Saint-Louis-de-France native in 2007-08, his first of two seasons on Long Island. Size “56” labeling is affixed to the collar, with Reebok and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the familiar Long Island team crest with embroidered detailing, the navy V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve, chest and verso numbers, with an alternate patch over the right shoulder. Showing light to moderate use with a number of fabric pulls visible over the front and sleeves, there are also a few burns on the front band. Getty Image #77902777 (Nov 1, 2007) has been matched to the two fabric pulls visible to the upper and lower left of the "47" over the right sleeve, to the fabric pull beneath the white striping band on the right sleeve, and to the specific shape and threading of the bottom section of the "7" of "47" above the right breast. A MeiGray patch numbered “E06956” sits over the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a “Navy Set 1” example. A team LOA will accompany along with a second LOA.
