A Memorial Cup winner with Kitchener in 1982, defenceman David Shaw was drafted 13th overall by Quebec that year, and skated for six different NHL clubs throughout his career including Boston, Edmonton and Tampa Bay. This Lightning jersey was worn by the St Thomas native in circa 1995-97. Measuring-out to a size 52, a CCM label with handwritten “27” remains affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a textured and partially embroidered Lightning team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with “27” in stylized and oversized tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Shaw” across the nameplate in matching oversized letters. Shaw has signed the team crest in black marker, and the signature displays well. The jersey shows nice game-use, with marks over the front and sleeves, with a bit of very minor spotting around the team crest.
