The Calder Memorial Trophy winner in 2014 as the NHL’s best rookie, Nathan MacKinnon was also selected to the All-Rookie Team on the strength of his impressive 63 points. The Nova Scotia native and number #1 draft pick has represented Canada on numerous occasions, including winning gold at the 2015 World Championships. This signed helmet was worn by the superstar in the mid-2010s. A CCM model in solid black with intact Oakley visor, chin strap and interior padding, “19” appears over the forehead and the lower reverse, with Aves decals gracing each side. There is also an NHL decal over the right reverse. Imagery shows MacKinnon wearing this style CCM helmet with matching font numeral decals in both 2015-16 and 2016-17. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
Light game-use is exhibited on the head gear, with scratches and surface abrasions visible. What appears to be an “s” has also been handwritten to the interior. The young superstar has added a silver paint pen signature over the reverse, with a small rub to the autograph.
