Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
Registering six 100-point seasons throughout his Hall of Fame career, Joe Sakic possessed one of the greatest wrist shots in the game, and earned a number of awards including the Hart Memorial, Conn Smythe and Lady Byng. This stick was used by the superstar in the late-1990s, with this particular combination of model stick used with this model blade in 1998-99 and 1999-2000. “Sakic Custom 95” appears over the upper shaft, with the original black tape on the blade and white on the handle with “19” handwritten. Sakic has added a thin silver ink signature across the front side blade and it bleeds into the background material slightly. Hailing from the personal collection of a prominent hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
Light game-use is exhibited on the graphite stick, with marks and abrasions to the lower shaft.
