Established in 1994 by Gelani Aptievich Tovbulatov and Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Fetisov and concluding in 2008, the Spartak Cup was an annual European club tournament held in Moscow where Russian fans were able to see hometown players that usually played abroad. This Spartak Cup jersey was worn by Ilya Kovalchuk circa-2006, and it’s accompanied by a stick used by the superstar during his time in Atlanta, circa 2006-07. Sporting Russian labeling along the collar with “54” sizing, there is also a second manufacturers label on the reverse hem. Styled with the team crest and numbers all sublimated, there is also a sponsorship patch sewn to the left breast. The stick is a Warrior Dolemite model with "I. Kovalchuk" factory graphics, with a production number on the underside of the shaft and the original white tape on the blade and black over the handle and knob. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
The jersey exhibits light game-use, with a large stick mark near the team crest and a few additional random marks. The stick shows moderate use with wear and puck marks to the taped section of blade, with marks and abrasions to the shaft.
