The Atlanta Thrashers franchise record holder for single-season goals, Ilya Kovalchuk made his NHL debut with the club in 2001-02, and enjoyed eight seasons in Georgia. The three-time All-Star also represented Russia at every international level. We have a stick used by the star during the early-2000s, with this specific type of model seeing use for approx two seasons during his rookie era (2001-02 and 2002-03). An Easton Synergy model with “17 Kovalchuk” factory graphics over the upper shaft, the original black tape is in place over the blade and handle, with black paint added to the bottom third of the stick. Nice game-use is exhibited which includes wear to the taped section of blade, along with marks and abrasions to the shaft. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
