Scoring the first of his 107 regular-season career goals against Gump Worsley and the Montreal Canadiens, Bobby Orr made his NHL debut as an 18-year-old, with his very first contest against Gordie Howe and the Detroit Red Wings, on Oct 19, 1966. This framed ticket display features an oversized replica of the ticket from Orr’s first game and it’s been signed by the superstar, accompanied by a vintage 1970s ceramic lamp and a trio of modern Mitchell & Ness “This is Orr Country” pennants. First, the display is 12 ½” x 31 ½”, with the season, date and opponent all listed, with Orr signing along the bottom in black marker, with no issues for the signature. The lamp is approx 20” in height, with a ceramic player painted in Bruins colours over a 10” base, with the intact shade with Bruins logo 14” in diameter at the widest point. A COA from GNR will accompany for the signature.
The display presents wonderfully, with just a single errant black mark visible over the left side. The ceramic lamp features fully intact paint, with just a few blemishes to the base, with additional wear to the metal components. The lamp shade in intact but fragile, with a few cracks and toning, with the metal section that secures the shade to the base detached but present. The 30” pennants feature an image of Orr over the left side, with just light wear to each, with two still having the Mitchell & Ness placards affixed.
