Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

The first Philadelphia Flyers’ draft pick in franchise history, Serge Bernier would spend parts of four seasons with the club before being traded to the Kings, with the WHA beckoning. Bernier would sign with the Quebec Nordiques in 1973 and would star throughout the remainder of the rebel league, with his 230 goals for the franchise trailing only Real Cloutier and Marc Tardif. From his second season in the WHA All-Star game, we have a 1974-75 WHA All-Star Game "East All-Stars" Jersey worn by the Padoue native. Featuring a rubberized WHA team crest, “WHA” appears over the front band, with “21” in red-over-white tackle twill on the sleeves and verso. “Bernier” also resides over the upper reverse in single white twill. Originating from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Serge Bernier will accompany.
A Gerry Cosby label with “L” sizing is affixed to the inside hem, with the vintage All-Star garment measuring-out to roughly a size 54. The jersey remains in beautiful condition with all colours retaining their vibrancy, with just light overall wear present and no obtrusive marks or damage, with small specs of red paint transfer over the team crest and near the collar.
