The record holder for most goals in a season until the arrival of a young player named Wayne Gretzky, Phil Esposito utterly dominated during his tenure with the Boston Bruins in the 1970s, securing a quartet of consecutive Art Ross trophies as the NHL’s regular-season points leader. This stick was used by the HOFer in the late-1970s while with the New York Rangers. A Northland model with “Registered Pattern Number 3380”, “Esposito” and “77” are stamped-on, with the stick retaining its original black tape on the blade and white (now yellowed) over the knob. There is also a factory code on the underside of the shaft, with most of the striping accent intact. The stick shows heavy use, with wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, with numerous marks, abrasions and surface wear to the lower shaft.
