The NHL record holder for most games played by a defenseman, Chris Chelios is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, with his eleven All-Star Game appearances spread over 17-seasons especially impressive. This photo-matched Montreal Canadiens jersey was worn by the noteworthy HOFer in the 1986-87 Wales Conference Finals. With no labeling affixed to the collar and measuring-out to roughly a size 54, a CCM crest resides over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “24” appears over the sleeves and verso in blue-over-red tackle twill, with “Chelios” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Getty Image #82592989 (May 14th 1987 Wales Conference Finals Game #7) has been matched to the orange marks on the right sleeve, specifically the smaller examples near the number "2", and to the marks over the elbow stitching (about 1" long").
Seeing heavy game use, a few marks are visible over the front and sleeves, with heavy paint transfer over the right sleeve. Team repairs also litter the jersey, with examples over the shoulders (1), front (7), reverse (8), left sleeve (7) and right sleeve (24), with a small slit also visible near the left cuff.
