This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
With the Boston Bruins’ executive Wren Blair convincing the Orr family to allow the progeny to attend the Niagara Falls Flyers training camp in 1962, Bobby Orr would sign with the Beantowners at just 14 years of age, with a remarkable four seasons first spent with the Oshawa Generals. Orr would net an unbelievable 280 points throughout his time in the OHA before making his NHL debut in a Bruins jersey, in 1966-67. This lot contains a collection of four programs including a pair that hail from his final two seasons in Ontario with Oshawa (1964-65 and 1965-66), accompanied by a 1979 “Oshawa Bobby Orr Day” program and 1983-84 “1965-66 Oshawa Reunion Program” signed by Orr and a few others. The 1960s Oshawa programs both feature the superstar in the line-up, with the 1979 program featuring Orr on the cover. The 1983-84 program has been signed by four including Orr, Cashman and Ian Young on the 1965-66 Generals team photo page, with the black ballpoint Orr autograph flawless.
All four programs are 7” x 10”, with the 1960s Oshawa programs complete with moderate handling wear and no damage, with staining to the covers and moderate wear to the additional 1979 and 1983-84 programs.
