Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Once again, the condition of the cards chosen by our consignor to have autographed, along with the splendid penmanship of the players who performed decades ago are a joy to behold, with numerous Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup contributors contributing here and all the signatures accompanied by Certificates of Authenticity. We'll go chronologically and save the best for last, with Charlie Hodge and Phil Goyette rookie cards from 1957-58 featuring light toning and superb signatures, with the cards themselves EX+ and EX-MT respectively. A '58-59 Ralph Backstrom rookie boasts a nice white background and NM characteristics and then it's on to the tantalizing group of '63-64 Parkies. There are two different rookie cards for Jacques Laperriere, John Ferguson, Red Berenson and Cesare Maniago, with attractive blue-striped backgrounds upping the appeal. Two cards had been graded before being removed from their holders to get signed and will come with the PSA labels; #40-Maniago (NM-MT 8) and 85-Berenson (NM 7). Most of the others look to be NM or better, with the set's last card, 99-Maniago exhibiting toning but well-centered and EX, with no warping or rubber band marks. The Hodge card comes with an Icebox Certificate of Authenticity, while all others will be accompanied by a COA from A.J. Sports World. What a stirring years-in-the-making Canadiens autographed rookie card collection.
