Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

We never tire of handling/examining/describing pleasing 1963-64 Parkhurst sets, with added pleasure with this assembly in the way of two wrappers - cool. To the cards first though, where scorching submission candidates abound; we rate an even five dozen (60 cards) as having NM-or-better characteristics. We almost said NM+ or better but will be on the conservative side while being certain of NM-MT, NM-MT+ and MINT representatives. Most notable are Howe (NM+), Sawchuk (NM+), Faulkner RC (NM-MT (OC)), 17-Mahovlich, 23-Richard, 75-Keon and both examples of Horton, Shack, Geoffrion, Beliveau and Ferguson RC. At times, less-than-perfect centering is the lone obvious fault. Also to note is the presence of some subtle black marks on some of the left and right edges, but only really detectable when the cards are in a stack, with our web photos giving you a better idea. Meanwhile, some two dozen "lesser" cards are mostly in the EX to EX-MT+ range, (EX+ for 99-Maniago RC), while an even dozen are sent to VG to VG-EX by a crease and/or corner wear, with three affected by staining/toning and 5-Bower, 40-Maniago RC and 91-Harper RC among them. Sensational complements are both variations of wax pack wrappers, with the one advertising a hockey game nicer (half-inch tear/hole) than that promoting an autographed hockey puck (two inch-long tears). A wonderful Parkie gathering that merits and surely will garner considerable interest.
