This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Originating to the late 1920s when The Sultan of Swat became its first member, the 500 home run club currently consists of twenty-seven players, with Teddy Ballgame registering the highest career batting average of the membership. This framed print from 1986 by noted sports artist Ron Lewis has been signed by eleven prestigious members. At approx 17” x 23” (visible), the print features wonderful portrait images of the eleven players, with “500 Home Runs” across the base. Each has signed in matching blue marker, including Mantle, Williams, Aaron, Killebrew, Schmidt, Mathews, McCovey, Robinson, Banks, Jackson and Mays. The signatures display beautifully with just a hint of fading, with the print matted and framed to approx 22” x 28”. An LOA from JSA will accompany.
