Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Always popular with collectors, we have a vintage game-worn jersey from a defunct club, with this example originating from the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers in the mid-1980s, specifically 1986-87. Originating in the WCHL in the late-1960s as the Winnipeg Jets, the Wranglers relocated to Calgary in 1977, spending ten seasons in the locale before becoming the Lethbridge Hurricanes in 1987. A Cooper label is affixed to the collar, with the vintage garment measuring-out to roughly a size 48. Styled with a tackle twill team crest with chain-stitched detailing, “25” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with affixed stars over each shoulder. Light game use is exhibited, with a few washed-out marks over the lower front and additional wear to the team crest, with single small holes over each lower sleeve.
