Vintage scrapbooks are always interesting to many folks, with some cardboard attractions involved here upping the intrigue. The newspaper clippings are dominated by hockey-related articles and pictures, with an emphasis on the Toronto Maple Leafs, with however baseball, football, boxing and horse racing also making appearances. Star Weekly color pictures of Hall of Famers Syl Apps, Turk Broda and Gordie Drillon are highlights, with the 50-plus page affair on the rough side condition-wise. Near the back is where the hockey cards are affixed, starting with nine Montreal Maroons cards from O-Pee-Chee's 1937-38 set. Five show more wear than the others, with Gus Marker, Cy Wentworth, Bob Gracie and Tommy Cook cards displaying the best and in that order. Nine cards are also on an all-Canadiens page, with a Paul Haynes example the only apparent crease-free entry. A Toe Blake rookie card is notable, with pencil marks, rounded corners and a stain affecting a Howie Morenz "Ice Kings" card from '33-34. Toronto is represented by 14 OPCs Series E cards including Hall of Famers Apps, Broda (extremely rough), Conacher, Drillon, Horner and Jackson. All OPC cards have blue "framing" and facsimile autographs, with a removal project a possibility.
