The King, Elvis Presley, leads this intriguing stash, with a complete set of 1956 Elvis cards featuring mostly crease-free entries, although we'd say VG+ overall, with a majority of cards exhibiting specs of color loss and/or print lines, to go along with light corner wear. Much of the accompanying sets/cards were printed in Canada and collected by Canadians, with a 1958 Parkhurst Zorro ensemble of 50 dominated by VG-EX to EX examples, with VGs and VG+s also in the mix. Adventures of Radisson cards are also Parkhurst productions, with one complete 50-card set in the VG to VG-EX realm and a near set (missing just two cards) low grade with rounded corners and/or creases and nothing above VG. Batman and Robin contribute with their 1966 O-Pee-Chee Bat Laffs set of 55 that averages VG+. Also from 1966 is a near set of Tarzan cards (61/66) by Philadelphia Gum, with just over two dozen affected by back damage (stains or paper loss) with however minimal creases spotted. Switching decades, a 1970 Way-Out Wheels set of postcard-size cards (36) is the OPC version with most without creases and in the VG-EX to EX range. In similar condition are O-Pee-Chee Superman cards from 1978 including both Series 1 and 2 (132 total cards), similar to (59) 1978 OPC Jaws 2 cards. Wear to the condition sensitive red borders of a 1983 OPC Return of the Jedi set of 132 lowers them, but a 1982 Topps Smurf Supercards set (56) boasts NM to MINT representatives. .....Miscellaneous cards thrown onto the pile include 1960s Combat (22)(with a cool NM 5-cent wrapper present), 1965 Philadelphia Gum War Bulletin (28), 1966 OPC Rat Patrol (17)(glue residue on the backs), 1969 OPC Man on the Moon (42) and 1973 OPC You'll Die Laughing (16), as well as 1950s Parkhurst wrestling cards (47) in low grade. Much to contemplate with this years-in-the-making collection.
