Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Believed to have been released during the 1968 Stanley Cup playoffs, this collection of 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs York Peanut Butter glasses totals six and constitutes a complete set. Differing from the previous York promotion in 1961-62 with actual portrait photos and facsimile signatures, each glass measure’s 5 ¾” in height, with a rim circumference of 3”. Canadiens examples are present for Gump Worsley, Henri Richard and Jean-Claude Tremblay, with the Toronto tumblers to include Tim Horton, Dave Keon and Johnny Bower. Just the Keon sports an internal crack near the base (it doesn’t continue through to the outside of the glass), with a few scratches to the Horton glass and wear to his portrait/name.
