Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Seeing action with a trio of expansion clubs during the 1970s/early-1980s, Jean Pronovost was an especially skilled goal scorer, posting four 40-goal seasons in the NHL. Originating from his first of two seasons spent in Atlanta, we have a signed Flames jersey worn by the Quebec native in 1978-79, a 67-point season. A Russell Athletic label with “XL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with the vintage mesh sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Styled with a white and gold layered tackle twill team crest, “9” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Pronovost” over the affixed nameplate. A loop-style fight strap has also been utilized. Jean has signed the reverse “9” in black marker, with the signature displaying beautifully.
Surviving in gorgeous condition, just light game use is visible on the garment, with a few random marks present including over the lower right sleeve, with some minor puckering to the team crest and numbers.
