Employed by a netminder during the Great Depression, we have a rarely seen pair of vintage goal pads that hails from the 1930s, and originates from Maple Leaf Gardens. Approx 29” in length with a width of 11”, no makers marks are visible, with each pad utilizing four leather straps along with blue felt over the reverse. Exhibiting good use, each pad has repairs along the bottom sections, with a few of the straps repaired on each. Similar to the models seen worn by Leafs goaltenders Lorne Chabot and George Hainsworth, the vintage gems are ideal for any equipment collection or for those enamored by the mighty maple leaf.
