A second round draft selection of the Florida Panthers in 2008, netminder Jacob Markstrom served as the backup goalie for Sweden at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, and is currently starting his seventh season with Vancouver. We have a Florida Panthers alternate third jersey worn by the Gavie native in 2011-12, his rookie season with the club. A “Goalie Style” label and “58+” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a Panthers shield crest with embroidered detailing, “25” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Exhibiting light use which includes a long black mark near the right elbow, the jersey remains in beautiful condition. The team patch denoting the garment as a “Set 1” example sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany. Addendum; According to information received the jersey was worn by Markstrom in rookie games, a pre-season game and when he was a back-up goalie in at least a game on November 6th 2011. We have photo-matched the jersey to that November 6th game to Getty Images #131731825 to the reddish mark in the middle area of the back #5 as well as to some loose threads.
