A Stanley Cup champion with the Dallas Stars in 1999, Pat Verbeek split his 20-year career between Hartford and New Jersey, with additional seasons spent in New York, Dallas and Detroit. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the Samia native in 1999-00, his first of two seasons with the club. A CCM label and size “54” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with additional embroidered NHL and CCM patches over the reverse hem. Featuring a gorgeous winged-wheel team crest, “15” appears over the sleeves and verso in single twill, with the NHL 2000 patch over the right breast. Hailing from the Michael Wexler collection, the team patch denoting the garment as a “1st Set” example resides on the inside hem, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
Exhibiting thorough game use, stick marks litter the lower front, with additional dark marks covering each sleeve. There is also a bit of red paint transfer near each elbow section, with a few large team repairs over the left sleeve and lower reverse.
