A two-time Stanley Cup champion, Pavel Datsyuk is renowned for his creative abilities and exceptional playmaking, with the Russian spending 14 seasons in Detroit which included winning four Lady Byng memorial trophies. We have a photo-matched Red Wings jersey worn by the superstar in 2003-04, just his third season in the Motor City. A label with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a team store price tag still affixed and “2” stenciled above. Styled with the attractive winged-wheel team crest borrowed from the famous Montreal AAA, the solid white V-neck has been accented with single twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Datsyuk” arching over the reverse numbers in matching material. The team patch resides on the inside hem, and it denotes the garment as a “1st Set” example.
A number of dark marks litter the lower front, with additional examples along with faint board burns over each sleeve. There is also a pair of team repairs present, with one over each sleeve. Getty Image #280410 from Nov 29, 2003, has been matched to the long intermittent black mark through the team crest.
