Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Featuring three of the most popular Montreal Canadiens throughout the club’s history, we have a signature collection of four items, with six total signatures, including Maurice Richard (2), Jean Beliveau, Ked Dryden, Red Storey and Garry Unger. First, we have a hardcover copy of The Official NHL Stanley Cup Centennial Book from 1992, with Richard signing the front of the dust jacket, Beliveau the reverse, with both black ink signatures displaying well, with a single scrape to the Richard, and a few minor areas of loss to the Beliveau from handling. The book itself is in excellent condition, with just light wear to the dust jacket. Next, we have a vintage 6” x 7 ½” St Albert & Co promo card of The Rocket, signed beneath the facsimile signature in ballpoint, with the signature a nice exemplar and the card showing toning and a bit of staining over the front and reverse. This is followed by a 1970s 8” x 10 ½” magazine page signed by Dryden in blue ballpoint, with the signature flawless, with Gary Unger signing the reverse. There is some wear to the page including along the top border. Lastly, we have a paperback copy of “Red’s Storey”, with light wear, with the longtime referee and Grey Cup winner signing the first page in black ink, adding “Best Wishes”.
