Celebrating the Stanley Cup playoff and dominated by the New York Islanders, we have a vintage pennant collection of 10, with each approx 30" in length give or take. Included, we have half a dozen Islanders examples. The first two are for the “1974-75” and “1975-76” playoffs, with team photos over the left of each, along with images of the Stanley Cup. Both examples have pinholes, with staining to the 1975-76 pennant. The third pictures the 1980 Cup-champion Islanders from 1980, with just light wear to the tip and a pair of pinholes over the left, while the fourth and fifth are matching in design, with team logos and “Stanley Cup Champions” over the left, with one pennant white, the other beige, with some light toning/discolouration to each. The final Isles pennant pictures a generic player hoisting Lord Stanley’s hardware over the left, with the years listed of their four consecutive Cup wins, with pinholes, toning and a few creases. Next, we have a 1974-75 Sabres playoffs pennant, similar in design to the Islanders 1974-75 example, with pinholes and a few small creases and light stains. This is followed by a 1974-75 “Stanley Cup Finals” pennant between the Sabres and Flyers, with game action pictured, along with an image of the Cup. Pinholes are present along with toning. The final two pennants include a Flyers “1980 Stanley Cup” example, with a team logo and the Cup pictured, with a few wrinkles and wear over the tip, while the final pennant is a 1973-74 Flyers team pennant, with team logo and photo, along with heavy toning, pinholes, creases and damage over the lower left.
