Awesome circa 1973-75 CHL Omaha Knights game-worn jersey is a recycled jersey from the parent NHL affiliate Atlanta Flames’ 1972-73 inaugural season. This red durene beauty with Rawlings size 52 and laundry instruction tagging inside the left rear tail has the outline of the Atlanta Flames crest visible on the inside of the jersey, behind the fantastic Knights Flaming K crest. Possibly worn by Pat Quinn in Atlanta, our research does not show who wore No. 3 for the Knights in 1973-74; Pat Ribble is listed as wearing No. 3 for Omaha in 1974-75. Game wear includes half a dozen team repairs. Comes with a MeiGray Vintage LOA and COR.
The Knights' parent club, the Atlanta Flames, recycled jerseys from their 1972-73 inaugural season to the Omaha Knights to be first used during the 1973-74 CHL season.
The garter-style fight strap has some stains from the rust on the metal clasp. There are some small reddish-brown spot stains inside the front tail and a few more in the middle of the white band on the front tail, likely from the rusting on the fight strap.
The front of the jersey exhibits one team repair, a small unrepaired hole on the left side of the white band on the tail, and board burns and paint transfer. The back of the jersey exhibits one team repair, black marks and paint transfer. The left sleeve exhibits four team repairs and a board burn. There are black marks on the right sleeve. The interior exhibits equipment pinching.
