Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

An NHL standout throughout his thirteen years with the New York Rangers and the Blueshirts’ captain for a trio of seasons as a veteran in the early-1970s, Vic Hadfield was fourth on the all-time list for Broadway points upon his retirement, with only fellow GAG-liners Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert, as well as Andy Bathgate scoring more. Hailing from his personal collection, we have Vic’s New York Rangers Alumni Association 14K gold and diamond ring. Size 9 with an approx weight of 25 grams, the stunning specimen feature’s a gorgeous enamel Rangers’ logo over the the face, encrusted with real diamonds, with an overlapping banner beneath with “Alumni Association” engraved. The right shank sports “Vic Hadfield”, while the interior band has been stamped “14K”. Highly desirable and presented to one of the Manhattan’s all-time finest, a signed LOA from Mr. Hadfield will accompany this treasure.
The ring does exhibits some light overall wear from use, with a few small scratches visible along with a pair of small spots of surface loss – over the outer band, and on the interior behind the tableau. There is also a tiny indentation present near the top of the left shank, with this possibly a manufacturing flaw.
