Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
More elusive pre-war collectibles are offered here, with Hamilton, Ontario's Tobacco Products Corporation of Canada responsible for these Champ's Cigarette cards, nine of which display better than their "Poor" technical grade, with back damage mostly responsible. Most text is still legible, with a side-to-side crease affecting a King Clancy card, while warping from glue hampers a Frank Finnigan rookie card. A crease or creases to report with Hall of Famers Jack Adams (erroneously identified as "Jock"), Billy Burch and Shorty Green, while nicer are Reg Noble, Mickey Roach, Dunc Munro RC and Charlie Dinsmore RC. Without back damage and best at VG are first-year Bruins George Redding RC and James Herberts RC, with Boston goalie Norm Fowler RC (G) and (F) cards of Wilfrid Coutu and Albert McCaffrey RC completing. Not at all hard to look at are these precious survivors.
