Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A member of the third-place Swedish national team at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics, netminder Pelle Lindbergh would go on to star in parts of five seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, winning the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender while leading the Bullies to the 1985 Stanley Cup finals. Lindbergh would sadly lose his life in a car accident late in 1985, while only 26. We have a puck signed by the two-time All-Star. An “Official” model puck with “Made in Czechoslovakia” in raised letters along the side, a full colour picture of Lindbergh has been affixed to one side of the puck, with a white glossy section affixed to the other, with this signed by Pelle in black marker including his “#31”, with the signature somewhat light and exhibiting a bit of fading. The puck itself shows wear to the affixed portions, with a JSA LOA to accompany.
