This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Drafted by the New York Rangers in the 7th round in 1975, Claude Larose spent the majority of his career in both the WHA and AHL, with 25 games played for the Rangers in 1979-80. We have a collection of items that hail from his personal collection, highlighted by pucks used to score his first goals with the Rangers (vs Chicago and scored on Tony Esposito) and the Cincinnati Stingers in 1975-76 (vs Cleveland and scored on Gerry Cheevers). Included, we have memorabilia from each league Larose participated in, with five WHA media guides including a Racers example with Wayne Gretzky, a pair of programs including for the 1975-76 WHA All-Star Game (with intact poster), eleven WHA team photos including the 1976-77 Stingers and 1977-78 Racers (with heavy duplication), a pair of 1977-78 WHA sticker sheets, a 1975 Riverfront Coliseum (Stingers) commemorative tray and 1973 paper weight, a framed Racers mini-jersey (11” x 14”), a square Stingers paperweight with graphics and club stats, a plastic Stingers mug, eleven Sherbrooke Canadiens programs from 1984-85 (with duplication), three Drummondville Rangers media guides from the early-1970s and more! From the NHL, we have a Winnipeg Jets team photo from 1983-84 (8” x 9 ¾” – with players names handwritten over the reverse), a trio of Jets magazines from 1983-84 and a pair of New York Rangers programs from 1979-80, both with having intact line-ups. Most of the items display expected storage and handling wear with no major issues, with heavier wear to the trio of Drummondville programs and Jets photo (toning and warping with a few creases). The goal pucks both show nice wear with no damage.
