Featuring Canadian leaders of both the 20th and 21st centuries, we have a must for any serious Canadiana collection, with a wonderful group of signed items totaling 9, all from past Prime Ministers of Canada. Included, we have signed photos for John Diefenbaker (June 21, 1957 - April 22, 1963 D-1979), John Turner (June 30 to September 17, 1984), Pierre Trudeau (1968–1979 and 1980–1984 D-2000), Brian Mulroney and wife (September 17, 1984 – June 25, 1993), Kim Campbell (June 25, 1993 to November 4, 1993), Jean Chretien (November 4, 1993, to December 12, 2003), Stephen Harper (February 6, 2006, to November 4, 2015) and Justin Trudeau with Margaret (November 4, 2015 - ). There is also a multi-signed photo, with Brian Mulroney, Paul Martin, Joe Clark, Kim Campbell and John Turner.
The Mulroney, Chretien, PET, and Turner photos are all 8” x 10”, with each personalized (except the Turner), with no issues for the dark signatures or photos themselves. The PET photo is accompanied by a letter, with a “compliments” card with the Mulroney photo. This is followed by the Harper and Campbell photos in the 8 ½” x 11” range, with each flawless signature accompanied by a letter. The Diefenbaker is actually the back of a vintage fold-over section from some sort of publication, at 8 ½” x 11”, with the Trudeau signed photo with mother 6 ¼” x 8”, with no issues for either ballpoint signature. Lastly, the multi-signed photo is just under 8” x 10”, with Mulroney, Turner and Martin all signing in gold, while Campbell and Clark have signed in black marker (Turner and Martin have also signed in black, and most likely due to the dark signatures, added additional examples in gold).
