Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Originally signing a “B-form” at 15 with the Montreal Canadiens which ensured joining the team should he ever turn pro, Jean Beliveau would spend parts of 20 seasons wearing la Sainte-Flanelle, with his 17 Stanley Cup championships (player and executive) unmatched. We have a limited-edition photo signed by the icon, with this example especially noteworthy due to the desirable annotations added. Large at 16” x 20” and ideal for display, a youthful big Jean is pictured in game-action, with his signature placed on the left side along with his induction year and nickname. Additional blue sharpie annotations appear over the right and beneath his image, including the years of his 10 Stanley Cups as a player and the years he earned the Hart, Art Ross and Conn Smythe Trophies. With no issues for the signature, additional text or photo itself, the limited-edition number of “8/10” has been handwritten in black marker within the bottom right.
