Impressive assembly of Tall Boys features dozens of cards with gorgeous original gloss, with hardly a crease spotted and the vast majority EX-MT or better. NM, NM+ and NM-MT cards to be discovered will surely excite the new owner. The SGC-graded contingent is highlighted by a Roger Crozier rookie card at 88 NM/MT 8, 44-Red Kelly at 86 NM+ 7.5 and 72-Gary Dornhoefer RC (SP) at 80 EX/NM 6, the same as 27-Harris and 40-Bower. Other encapsulated NM/MTs are 25-Mohns, 29-Sullivan, 30-McKenzie and 37-Balon, with 23-Provost at 84 NM. We see card #1-Pit Martin as a NM beauty, with 20-Hull SP and 33-Beliveau SP close at EX-MT or EX-MT+. The key Gordie Howe card, 105-Horton All-Star SP and 107-Hull All-Star exhibit light corner wear sending them to EX or EX+, but still attractive crease-free examples. Among 2nd Series short prints, 74-Villemure and 80-Rousseau, although with less-than-perfect centering, stand out at NM, with the others EX+ or EX-MT, with the exception of 98-Hicke (VG+ with surface scuffs). Unmarked checklists include 54-1st Series (EX+ (OC)) and 55-2nd Series (VG with corner/edge wear). Just three lightly creased cards are VG+; 6-Sawchuk, 93-Abel and 110-Hall AS. Good luck with these alluring hobby favorites.
