A member of the prestigious Triple Gold Club – winning a Stanley Cup along with gold medals at the World Championships and Winter Olympics – Henrik Zetterberg also garnered MVP status when he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy for his performance during the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs. We have a signed stick used by the Swede in the early-to-mid-2000s, with this particular model of stick used by Zetterberg in 2002-03, 2003-04, and part of 2004-05. Seeing action during his rookie era, the stick was gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. An Easton Synergy model in bright yellow, “Zetterberg” factory graphics are situated over the upper shaft along with handwritten “40”, with the original white cloth wrap over the handle. The blade tape has been removed to facilitate the flawless gold paint pen signature administered over the front side of the blade. Moderate use is exhibited, with wear to the shaft including chipping to the surface, with some red paint transfer over the knob. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
