An integral component of the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup championships in 1970 and 1972, Dallas Smith began regular blueline duties as the league expanded in 1967-68, partnered with Bobby Orr where he led the league in plus/minus the first year the stat was tabulated. The Manitoba native also served as Bruins’ interm captain in 1977 when Johnny Bucyk was injured, leaving the team that March after a dispute. Originating from the 1973-74 season, we have a Bruins alternate captain’s jersey worn by Smith. Wilson labeling graces the collar with both “50” sizing and handwritten “73”, with a gorgeous Bruins team crest fully administered in layered tackle twill. “20” is featured over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the Bruins’ 50th anniversary crests over each shoulder. A dual garter-style fight strap has also been utilized, with the alternate’s “A” placed over the left breast. Please take note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve.
Nice use is exhibited on the vintage durene gamer, with a few dark marks and pilling over the lower front band. There are also numerous team repairs, with examples over both sleeves as well as the lower front and reverse.
