The recipient of both the Lady Byng Memorial and Frank J. Selke trophies in 1995, HOFer Ron Francis currently sits 5th on the all-time list for NHL points with an impressive 1798. Hailing from that very season in 1994-95 – one that witnessed 59 points in the shortened-season of 44 games – we have a Pittsburgh Penguins captain’s jersey worn by the Sault Ste Marie native, and it’s been photo-matched. A CCM label with handwritten “10c” along with a size “52” fly tag grace the collar, with NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with “Pittsburgh” placed diagonally across the chest in drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the black V-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with alternate crests over each shoulder.
Dark marks are visible over the lower front band, with additional marks along with board burns over each sleeve. A very small hole near each elbow section is also present, with minor pilling over the inner tail from the fight strap. Two included 1995 numeric images have been matched to the v-shaped black mark on the lower middle front of the jersey, to the big black marks on the lower right and a few others, and to the faint black marks in the top of the "U" of "Pittsburgh".
