Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

The old adage of “they don’t make them like they used to” could certainly pertain to notorious blueliner Eddie Shore. The iconic tough guy once suffered a broken nose and jaw, 3 cracked ribs, and a dozen stitches placed over each eye in a single contest vs Montreal in 1930… only to return to play 2 days later! Things sure have changed. We have a signed index card from the deceased legend. At approx. 3” x 5”, the off-white card feature’s a trio of both vertical and horizontal red lines along with a punched hole, with Shore adding an attractive and flowing blue ballpoint signature as well as “With Best Wishes”. With no issues whatsoever for the desirable signature, the index card itself exhibits just a few tiny blemishes. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
