This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Always a hit with collectors, with an endless array of examples produced by any given number of companies, we have a vintage NHL schedule collection of 5, along with a 1970-71 Toronto Maple Leafs season pass. Included, we have an A.B.C. Taxi schedule card for Toronto’s first season as the Maple Leafs in 1927-28, with both home and away games listed, followed by a small fold-over Detroit Olympia schedule for 1944-45 with a period Coca-Cola ad over the reverse. Next, there’s an Esso Hockey Broadcasts full NHL fold-over schedule for 1948-49, a Maple Leaf Gardens 25th anniversary fold-over schedule for 1956-57 and a slid-out Globe Maple Leafs schedule with wonderful graphics for the final season before expansion in 1966-67. The Maple Leafs season pass list’s the owners name along with his seat number, with the majority of the games for the season hole-punched.
The 1927-28 A.B.C. Taxi schedule card is 2” x 3 ½” and exhibits light wear, while the Olympia schedule (4 ½” x 5 ½” unfolded) has all the results filled in with toning and handling wear along with “Olympia” handwritten in black over the original text. Next, the Esso schedule (4 ¾” x 6 ¼” unfolded) exhibits light to moderate wear with an Esso dealer’s name handwritten over the reverse, with the 1956-57 Leafs example (6 ¼” x 12 ½” unfolded) in beautiful high grade. Lastly, the 1966-67 slid-out schedule has the results of each game completely filled in, with heavy toning overall, with heavy wear to the Leafs season pass commensurate with its former use.
