Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Used earlier-on while making his ascension to the elitist of levels, we have a stick that saw active duty in the competent hands of superstar defenceman Paul Coffey while the HOFer was still a teenager in the mid-to-late-1970s. A Jofa 8004 Pentalam model, “Coffey” appears handwritten over the upper shaft in black marker, with a serial number stamped into the underside. Sporting an interesting fibreglass wrap, the vintage lumber feature’s the intact black tape over the blade and white over the handle/knob, with the striping accent no longer present. Nice use is exhibited, with wear to both the underside and top edge of the blade, with additional wear to the shaft. There is also a small section of white tape over the heel to rectify a crack. A signed LOA from Paul Coffey will accompany.
