Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The Chicago Black Hawks have one of the most appealing uniforms in NHL history and forward Paulin Bordeleau’s photo-matched 1974-75 game-worn jersey is a beauty with some solid game wear, including four team repairs. This classic mid-1970s Black Hawks durene gamer with the crossover neck style and a garter-style fight strap has Wilson size 46 tagging in the collar with a frayed Gunzo’s tag below it, and a “74” season patch sewn onto the right rear inner hem. It is photo-matched to an included digital image to the particular details of the team crest and the black mark in the lower area of the crest, as well as the dark red mark on the right shoulder.
The long loose white threads on the collar also show on the photo-match image. We also note evidence of a former nameplate, which was most likely added for television purposes and later removed.
The team repairs are a circular sewing fix where red paint transfer surrounds a board burn hole that was closed on the back of the left sleeve, a 3-inch vertical repair on the upper right back, which has a bit of red paint transfer to its right, and two small red thread repairs on the red stripe on the right front tail.
More game wear shows in black marks on the front tail and upper right sleeve, and red paint transfer on the right rear tail, the right shoulder below the crossed tomahawks patch, on the right front tail and on the front of the left sleeve.
