Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Representing the blue and white, we have a nice little group of 4 documents from the 1940s/50s pertaining to the beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, with each featuring a signature from prominent HOF legend Hap Day. Included, we have a pair of Standard Assignment Agreements (8 ½” x 11”) – one from 1951 for Howard Lee, the other from 1952 for John Lumley – along with a Try-Out Agreement “A” (8 ½” x 11”) from 1953 for Ted Toppazzini and a Form “C” Agreement (8 ½” x 14”) from 1947 for Douglas Towers. Each document has been stamped and dated by the Central Registry, with Day adding flawless bold blue ink signatures, with absolutely no issues for any of the autographs. The documents themselves exhibit expected handling and storage wear with toning along with the odd crease, wrinkle or fold line, with the Form “C” Agreement heavily toned with both edge tears and staple holes.
