Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Fantastic 1970 Montreal Expos game-worn flannel jersey was worn by second baseman Marv Staehle. A left-handed hitter, Staehle platooned with Gary Sutherland and had 321 at-bats in 104 games in what proved to be his busiest season in the majors. This second-year Expos blue flannel road gamer has ventilation holes on the underarms and Wilson size 42 tagging in the collar. The No. 14 sewn on the back and right breast in blue twill and "1970 Set 1" is embroidered on the front left tail. There is a small stain on the placket of this button-front beauty, a treasured keepsake from the early days of Nos Amours, Canada’s first major league baseball team.
