On the lower end of the condition scale, overall, is this group of 1953-54 Parkies, with however a majority in decent and acceptable-looking shape. Good, G+ and VG cards show up the most often, with some making it to VG+ and a few to VG-EX. We would say that the Terry Sawchuk card, slabbed VGE 4, received a somewhat generous grade from KSA. Most of the more notable cards of the set though feature heavy and/or multiple creases, with the Jean Beliveau RC, 13-Horton, 24-Richard and the first (Lumley) and last (Quackenbush) cards all P and the multi-creased Gordie Howe a notch better at F. The Worsley RC (G+) has a couple of small light peripheral creases, with an area on toning, while 26-Harvey, 31-Lach, the 37-38 Arbour/Dineen RCs and 47-Delvecchio are among the more pleasant to look at with no drastic flaws. We spot some apparent trimmed cards and ten examples with back damage, including Nesterenko RC (paper loss), with no bio on 91-Mackell. Classic cardboard offers a relatively inexpensive trip back in time.
