Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Culturally and historically significant as the greatest sporting shrine of both the sport and our nation itself, the hallowed Montreal Forum opened its famous doors in the fall of 1924, and after witnessing generations of legendary players and countless championships, the final game was played at the venue on March 27, 1996. Celebrating the paramount arena and it's association with the mighty Montreal Canadiens, we offer a multi-signed final game at the Forum program and ticket framed display. Featuring the program double-matted over the left and a modern circa-1980s image of the grand structure matted over the right, the ticket for the final game has been centered between the pair, with a Habs pin placed above. Nine Canadiens HOF legends have signed the program cover in black marker, including deceased members the Rocket, Pocket Rocket and Beliveau, along with Lafleur, Dryden, Moore, Gainey, Mahovlich and Yvan Cournoyer. The signatures present beautifully, with the display at full dimensions of approx 18 1/2" x 30".
