Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A dominant force during his season in the Q with Verdun, Pat LaFontaine scored an unfathomable 234 points including 104 goals in 70 games, enough to top both the league and Mario Lemieux. The superstar also led the Juniors to the QMJHL championships. We have a puck that was used by LaFontaine to score an overtime winner in the playoffs, most likely in the President's Cup final when they played the Longueuil Chevaliers, where he scored the game-winner in overtime. A Verdun logo is on one side along with a QMJHL logo on the reverse, with “Verdun 5 Longueuil 4” handwritten along with the date of “22/4/83” and “Pat Lafonta 16”. Light use is exhibited, with the puck in beautiful overall condition, with the handwriting legible.
