Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Ancient well-toned trio of early Fifties-era sticks includes a game-used example handled by Canadiens’ Hall-of-Famer Tom Johnson with his name and number “10” stamped on the shaft. The original bulldog wrapped knob tape is beginning to unravel and the cracked blade is covered in post-NHL-use electrical tape. Two more sticks include an early Northland Pro and a Northland Special, both are unidentified and have liberal quantities of additional black electrical tape keeping damaged blades intact. Best is the pair of well-worn and heavily-weathered two-tone hockey skates attributed to Johnny Wilson of the Red Wings with number “8” in white paint at the heels. Rust, taped toes, dirt, dust and cobwebs tell the tale of the condition!
