Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Featuring the beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, we have a great document collection of three ranging from the 1950s to 1980s, with each signed by a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Included, we have an Option Agreement “C” for Bob Nevin, a Loan Agreement for Gerry McNamara and a note regarding a fine addressed to Wilf Paiement. The Option Agreement “C” for Bob Nevin is dated “March 21/56”, and it lists amounts paid if the Ontario native is assigned to specific different minor leagues. A beautiful Hap Day signature in ballpoint graces the reverse. The Loan Agreement for Gerry McNamara originates from December of 1959, and it calls for the Sturgeon Falls native to be loaned to the Sudbury Wolves of the EPHL, where he would appear in 59 games during the 1959-60 season. A Central Registry stamp is present, along with a beautiful ballpoint signature from Punch Imlach. The Paiement fine notice is on NHL letterhead and is dated “November 25 1981”, and it references a misconduct penalty, with a signature from HOF builder Brian O’Neill. Each document remains in excellent condition, with some light toning and expected handling wear.
