Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Extremely popular with fans throughout his career, Eddie Shack saw action in over 1000 NHL contests while representing a number of clubs including Boston, Los Angeles, Buffalo and Toronto. Hailing from the Sudbury native’s second stint in Ontario in the early-1970s, we have a signed Leafs jersey worn in 1974-75. With a Rawlings size “46” label affixed to the collar, “Toronto Maple Leafs” has been embroidered onto the tackle twill team crest, with six eyelet configuration on tie-neck construction utilized. Accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, alternate crests also grace each shoulder, with no fight strap present, a common attribute with Leafs gamers from this set. Shack has added a large and flowing signature over the right breast including his number, and it displays wonderfully.
A few small stains (including blood) are visible over the front and sleeves, with wear to the reverse numbers along with repairs, with a small hole over the upper right side.
